Over The Weekend...

I gotta catch you guys up on some sh*t lol. Over the weekend I was keeping pretty busy. I had a music video shoot on Saturday with an artist down in Columbus “Yung Wav”. The shoot went super well I just wish I caught some more BTS of the whole day. I vlogged a little bit but not while we were shooting. The reason being, I have two lenses on me at the moment. The sigma 18-35 and a canon 50mm. Typically, I shoot music videos mostly with the sigma 18-35 on the GH5s, and leave the 50mm on my canon t7i. The canon has a 1.6x crop effectively making that 50mm an 80mm lens. Therefore, it makes it pretty hard to get the wide shots necessary for BTS especially when I’m by myself. So until I can snag a decent wide angle or have someone come out to these shoots with me I’ll be updating the experience on the blog lol.

Also, this weekend I’ll be at the Up Next Fest in Cleveland interviewing artists including Yeah Freshie, Owen River, YSN Flow, and more! Definitely stop out and say what’s up it’s going to be a fun time with some dope local talent showcasing and lettin’ everybody know what the city’s about. Doors open at 7 P.M. and the show starts at 8!

Also on August 11th literally the next day I’ll be at another festival “Let’s Mingle” at the Redspace so you’ll have to check out that event as well! I’ll be there filming the event and also getting some exclusive God Media interviews and networking with a bunch of people so come say what’s up! Open bar and free food if you come out lol.

Watch out for all the content that’s going to be poppin’ up on God Media this weekend you won’t see it anywhere else and its going to be some good sh*t. Sign up for the God Media Newsletter if you haven’t already to stay up to date on everything from God Media!

I borrowed my buddy’s Range Rover for the shoot and it was all good vibes we caught some super dope looking shots and I can’t wait for you guys to check out what I cooked up with this one.

The next day was the link up at the official God Media office located in downtown Cleveland. Nothing but chill vibes and some really creative and talented people stopped by including some people that already have some game on God Media. If you didn’t make it out to this one I will be putting another link up together in the future so watch out for that! I also got the chance to link up with some other photographers and that’s where these pics came from lol.

The New Office!

Ayyeee so let’s get you guys in the loop on the new office space! About a month ago I made a trip up to Cleveland to look at different office spaces for God Media. The last one I looked at stuck out pretty much immediately and I knew it was going to be the new crib lol. I went ahead and signed the lease a couple days later and just got moved in last week. I had so much stuff to order and get in line for it so I had to have my buddy’s help me move and carry it all into the space. There’s still one more “photo” section I want to put up, but other than it’s all put together.

It all came together pretty well (at least I think lol). I am definitely looking forward to creating to my fullest potential here and working on all f the things that I’ve always wanted to. You guys are going to be seeing A LOT more of God Media from this point forward. I have a lot of ideas to move God Media in the right direction and I plan on taking advantage of this space as much as I possibly can in order to build the brand and the movement.

I can’t wait for you guys to see what I have on the way. This is just the first step in a very big move. I’m also holding a link up open house get together type deal so make sure you what out for that on August 4th. Come check out the space and say what’s up. I’m booking visuals at a discounted rate that day so get with me for the address.

The future has a lot in store and I’m ready for you guys to see it and experience it with me. I appreciate everybody that’s been supporting and following God Media. This is just the beginning and we got a long way to go lol.

What I've been up to lately...

Ayee hope y’all are doin’ good it’s been a minute since I’ve written a blog so I wanted to update you guys on what I’ve been up to as of late! First off if you haven’t seen my IG stories I got the chance to shoot with Adi Rei from Nvasion Records. Super dope artist to be able to link with he brought good vibes and energy on set and we killed it. We had a lot of things going on with 3 different set designs to shoot in the studio and a scene on top of a parking garage at golden hour and everything turned out really well. We pulled off the vibe we were going for with a high energetic, fun visual with bright blues and oranges to compliment the mood. Pre-Production was a b*tch it took me hours to build the stuff you see in the video lol.

Check out the screenshots below to see the kind of sets we built and and the overall vibe we were aimin’ for. This shoot was a blast hopefully you guys get to see more visuals from us on the future.

The following weekend I had another shoot with an artist named Congrez up in Cleveland just a little more on the west side this time. Congrez is also the CEO of Avalanche Records. This song included several other artists from the label including but not limited to, BamFranx, Jiggy Ju, and Tilla Duula. This visual was made with the idea of just making it look really f**king cool lol. It’s a flex track no doubt so we wanted a vibe that would represent that which ended up with some cool set design ideas that you guys can check out below.

I can’t wait to work with these guys again it was so fun putting this video together everybody brought good vibes and I can’t wait for you guys to check it out. I’ll definitely be posted up here to let you guys know when it drops lol. I’ll leave a link below to Adi Rei’s “Too Much” Visual I’d love for you guys to run the views up on that!

Shooting with the Nuw4ve Crew

Chanze (Left)

Oddzci (Middle)

Trilla.G (Right)

Shooting with these 3 was a blast. The first location we went to was a pink abandoned trap house near the west side. It was really cloudy (which I love fr) and the light was super soft which made for some amazing photos. We did a small photoshoot here before we went on to shoot a video to a single off of their latest proect .WAV called “Live”. Me and Chanze met months ago talking about linking up and I’m glad it finally happened. I really tried to push myself on this video and try new things and i think overall I’m pretty satisfied, as always there are things that maybe I didn’t think of or whatever but that' just turns into a learning experience then.

We really tried to tell a story in this video and I made decisions creatively that ended up prolonging the shoot, but it was worth it. It’s always worth it to take your time and make sure you get it right.

The video is really hype with eerie vibes. I used more effects in this video than I usually do just because I thought it would benefit the video and I wanted to see what effects I could come up with on my own, and it was super f***ing fun. We had a character get robbed at one point and so I also shot my second action sequence ever I can’t wait for you guys to see it! I also experimented a lot with the audio during that scene (the music cuts out). I love trying new things and I think you can tell I did that in this shoot.

These photos are definitely a personal favorite of mine I love the pink color palette we used as well as the style that these guys had. As far as camera gear goes I use a Panasonic GH4 and I had a 20mm f1.7 and a 30mm f1.4 on me. I tried to use the environment as much as possible to help me in creating depth and an interesting composition. I like putting different things in the foreground such as leaves or glass, etc. to frame my subject. I think it just draws your eyes where they need to be in a more interesting way.s
