How I Edit My Instagram Photos!

Yo what’s goin’ on guys I got something cool below. I thought it’d be really cool to show you how I edit my pictures in Lightroom so you’ll have the opportunity to learn and get a little bit of a behind the scenes look into how I do things. In this tutorial I’m going over how I edited shots from my most recent photoshoot with Ikonik (last blog). These shots were very dramatic and moody and they were super fun to edit so go ahead and give it a watch below!

As you can see I try and get a quick edit in on these photos I don’t like to spend a whole lot of time editing. The amount of time I spend editing a picture really depends on the picture itself and what all I want to do with it. I very seldom go into Photoshop for editing I normally only stick with Lightrooom. I love for my photos to have a desaturated, crispy look to them and I think we pulled that off just fine at this shoot. I hope you guys learned something from this tutorial I got more coming so stay tuned! Shooting with the Nuw4ve Crew

Chanze (Left)

Oddzci (Middle)

Trilla.G (Right)

Shooting with these 3 was a blast. The first location we went to was a pink abandoned trap house near the west side. It was really cloudy (which I love fr) and the light was super soft which made for some amazing photos. We did a small photoshoot here before we went on to shoot a video to a single off of their latest proect .WAV called “Live”. Me and Chanze met months ago talking about linking up and I’m glad it finally happened. I really tried to push myself on this video and try new things and i think overall I’m pretty satisfied, as always there are things that maybe I didn’t think of or whatever but that' just turns into a learning experience then.

We really tried to tell a story in this video and I made decisions creatively that ended up prolonging the shoot, but it was worth it. It’s always worth it to take your time and make sure you get it right.

The video is really hype with eerie vibes. I used more effects in this video than I usually do just because I thought it would benefit the video and I wanted to see what effects I could come up with on my own, and it was super f***ing fun. We had a character get robbed at one point and so I also shot my second action sequence ever I can’t wait for you guys to see it! I also experimented a lot with the audio during that scene (the music cuts out). I love trying new things and I think you can tell I did that in this shoot.

These photos are definitely a personal favorite of mine I love the pink color palette we used as well as the style that these guys had. As far as camera gear goes I use a Panasonic GH4 and I had a 20mm f1.7 and a 30mm f1.4 on me. I tried to use the environment as much as possible to help me in creating depth and an interesting composition. I like putting different things in the foreground such as leaves or glass, etc. to frame my subject. I think it just draws your eyes where they need to be in a more interesting way.s
